Since the age of 17 I have suffered from frequent headaches that last for at least 24 hours. At their worst, I get 3 per week and at best I don’t get any for a couple of weeks. They can range from being so bad that the pain makes me feel sick, to feelings of mild fugginess in my head/eyes.

I’ve always wondered who reads this site, apart from my friends, and occasionally I get to find out when people post comments. I think anyone with a web log will agree that getting comments is exciting and it is nice to see what people are thinking or to know that someone has enjoyed your post or feels strongly enough to give their views on a particular subject.

The only New Year’s celebration that I had enjoyed up until this holiday was when I was a teenager with my best friend watching the festivities on television. It was absolutely nothing special, but at least it wasn’t cancelled (Edinburgh 2004), I knew the people I was around and did not get upset over a boy (being told my boyfriend, of the time, had just kissed someone else at the party during the Y2K celebrations).
