2nd hand car trouble

On the weekend of Don’t Forget Your Mobile, as I was cruising along the M26, my ‘check oil’ warning light started to flash intermittently. I arrived home and found that there was no level to check – I was totally out of oil and nothing was registering on the dipstick. I didn’t have a leak and there was no blue smoke when I started the car, which is usually a sign that the engine is completely worn out.

Glug, glug

I added a whole bottle of oil and was told to re-check the level after approximately 100 miles – after all there was no way of knowing if it had been full to start with. Unfortunately, after 100 miles it had used more than half the tank of oil and today it went back to it’s seller.

Missing you already

In exactly one month I’ve bought, fallen in love with and returned my dream car – the garage are going to telephone me next week to tell me the outcome of the inspections. I’ve grown attached to my sporty, sophisticated Celica and it’s really difficult not to get my hopes up that it can be fixed. Thank godsh [sic] I got a 6 month parts and labour warranty with the car!
